OREANDA-NEWS The timing of payments between Russia and Kazakhstan in logistics in November-December 2024 increased by 24% compared to July of the same year, Gennady Chichin, director of the European-Asian direction of PEC: Global, told RIA Novosti.
"In November-December, the average payment period between Russia and Kazakhstan increased by 24% compared to July and in some cases can reach up to two months," Chichin said.
According to him, Kazakhstan is not the only country with which payment deadlines have increased. Thus, in 2024, the average payment processing time between Russia and the UAE increased by 29%, to 10-14 days. It takes from two to 14 days for funds to be credited to the account, depending on the bank and the product category.
"Payment is not available directly, and every day respondent banks request more and more additional documents and explanations with information about the sending companies, recipients of funds, characteristics of goods and details of the transaction," Chichin added.
He noted that problems with payment lead to sharp spikes and drops in cargo traffic between Russia and partner countries, as well as to an increase in the cost of transport logistics.
