OREANDA-NEWS  Pakistan plans to increase oil imports from Russia in the near future, advisor to the Prime Minister of this country, Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"In the coming days, trade and imports of crude oil from Russia will grow. It will grow in the coming days," he said.

The agency's interlocutor recalled that in 2023, Pakistan purchased about 100,000 tons of oil from Russia.

"That was the beginning. We have not imported oil from Russia before," he said.

The official added that the Pakistani side has "no appetite" for purchases of liquefied natural gas, although it is offered long-term contracts for its supply.
