Novosibirsk mini-football club fans are being tested for racism

OREANDA-NEWS The Sibiryak mini-football club is conducting an internal review of the episode with its fans and Brazilian Nando, a black football player from the Norilsk Nickel club, which led to the player leaving the court during a match in Novosibirsk.
"We are conducting an internal review of this episode, we will definitely hold a meeting with the fans to clarify the situation, to study and detail all the circumstances, we have requested supporting video materials from the league on this situation, and we are ready to provide comprehensive assistance to the Super League and the RFU in analyzing this moment," the Novosibirsk club said in a statement.
In a statement, IFC Norilsk Nickel said that shortly before the end of the second match of the 14th round between Sibiryak and the team from Norilsk, a group of active fans of the Novosibirsk club "began to insult a black Nando's player in an organized and prolonged manner."
"Without going into details, we can confidently say that there was a manifestation of racism. As a result, our black player, by the way, who defended the colors of the Russian national team in the recent past, not wanting to put up with what was happening on the podium, was forced to leave the playground ahead of schedule," the statement says.
Meanwhile, the Novosibirsk police is checking information about inappropriate behavior of Novosibirsk fans during a futsal match, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region reports.
The game ended with a score of 6:1 in favor of the guests.
