OREANDA-NEWS  Russian companies and enterprises will enter new markets to increase the volume of exports of non-primary goods. The focus will also be on countries friendly to the Russian Federation, said Alexander Novak, a candidate for the post of Deputy Prime Minister. His words are quoted by TASS.

He recalled that the Russian authorities face the task of increasing the volume of exports of non-primary non-energy goods by two thirds by 2030. In addition, domestic companies need to increase the supply of agricultural products by one and a half times. In order to achieve the above goals, it is necessary to enter new sales markets, Novak noted.

He referred primarily to friendly countries as promising areas. To increase exports of non-primary goods, Russia will need to launch new joint economic and investment projects. He did not specify which programs he was talking about. Another task, according to Novak, will be to expand the transit of goods along international corridors.

The need to dramatically increase the share of non-primary non-energy exports was previously stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the next six years, as the head of state clarified, the country also needs to reduce the share of imports to 17 percent of GDP.
