OREANDA-NEWS By the end of this year, the Chinese Haval will launch two new brands in Russia — fully electric cars ORA and hybrid crossovers WEY. During this period, including in October, other novelties will appear on the country's market, Izvestia writes with reference to Autostat data on the expected replenishment on the market.
The list named by the agency includes the Livan S6 Pro sedan, the Haima 8S crossover, the Haima 7X compact van, the joint Dongfeng and Nissan brand called Venucia (with the D60 Plus sedan) and other Chinese brands, as well as the Russian Sollers ST6 pickup truck. It is also noted that the British MG brand, owned by the Chinese automaker SAIC, officially announced at the end of August that it would soon appear in Russia with the crossover One and the liftback 7 Trophy+.
In an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin to Chinese journalists published on October 16, the head of state noted that Russians are massively switching to Chinese cars not only because the supply of Western models is declining, but also because of the increase in their quality. Putin spoke about a recent conversation with motorists with a lot of experience, who confirmed to him that cars from China are getting better.
Earlier it became known that since the beginning of 2023, Muscovites have spent 420 billion rubles on the purchase of new cars. The most active residents of the capital bought crossovers and SUVs.
