OREANDA-NEWS  Moscow has been named the best city in Russia in terms of quality of life. This is reported by the Telegram channel of the RIA Novosti agency with reference to the results of the research of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The second and third lines in the list were taken by St. Petersburg and the Tyumen region. The top five also included such regions of the country as Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs. According to the agency's Director General Svetlana Chupsheva, more than 140 indicators were taken into account when compiling the list, including geo-analytics data and Rosstat statistics. In addition, the researchers conducted a survey of citizens living in various regions of Russia.

"It is very important that we have a very large database of respondents. We are interviewing not only residents of capitals, but also residents of rural areas, small towns, which gives us the opportunity to assess the results carefully and look at the problems that people are talking about and the opportunities that exist in the region," Chupsheva explained.

In November, analysts at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation concluded that by the end of 2022, Moscow, Sochi and Grozny became the most comfortable cities for residents of Russia. The quality of life index was calculated based on data from a survey of residents of cities with a population of more than 250 people.
