OREANDA-NEWS Two new heated swimming pools will be built in Moscow, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. A fragment of the mayor's speech was published in his Telegram channel.

It was decided to build a swimming pool area right on the Moskva River. One pool with a beach will be located on the Vorobyovy Gory embankment, the second — in the Neskuchny Garden or Gorky Park area. Sobyanin said that construction will begin in the fall. He stated that Vorobyovy Gory "historically had a bathing area" where a huge number of people came.

Also, the mayor of the capital promised to build a "first-class embankment, a promenade from the escalator gallery to the observation deck" on Vorobyovy Gory. In addition, there will also be pedestrian and bike paths.

Currently, there are outdoor pools in Moscow in the area of the metro stations "Luzhniki", "Park Kultury", "Sokolniki", "ZIL" and near the Northern River Station.

Earlier, the mayor of Moscow promised to make the capital a resort city. In the near future, five heated swimming pools will be opened in the city's parks, and their number will grow, the mayor said. It is planned that swimming pools will be built in every district of the capital.
