OREANDA-NEWS. About 300 billion rubles were spent in Moscow on the fight against coronavirus infection, including the purchase of medicines and equipment for hospitals. Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Efimov spoke about this on September 3 at the Stolypin Forum.

“Speaking of losses, we see a drop in revenues of up to half a trillion and plus about 300 billion rubles, we cost additional costs aimed at combating coronavirus - this is the purchase of consumables, medicines, equipment for hospitals and clinics,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

According to Efimov, at the moment, according to most indicators, "we have returned to the level of last year." This applies primarily to consumer demand.

The deputy mayor added that anti-crisis measures were specially created and taken to support the business. In Moscow, it was "rather a continuation of the measures taken by the Russian government." The decisions that were made made it possible to maintain the liquidity of the companies, Yefimov said.

"I would not say that some support measures were wrong. We tried to use our potential to the maximum, to help enterprises. Of course, the key task that we see before us is to saturate the market with money," added the Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
