OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin canceled the glove mode, which had been in effect for over a year.
In recent weeks, the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection has improved significantly: thanks to mass vaccinations and other preventive measures, the number of newly detected cases of COVID-19 decreased 2.2 times, hospitalizations - 1.6 times compared to the peak values of the second half of June.
"In these conditions, we can continue to gradually ease the existing restrictions," - said in Sobyanin's blog.
However, the mayor urged Muscovites to continue wearing respiratory protection masks in public places.
"We must maintain this critical barrier to the spread of the virus until the number of new cases is reduced to a minimum," he emphasizes.
In conclusion, he urged unvaccinated townspeople to be vaccinated.
Thanks to vaccinations and other anti-epidemiological measures, the number of newly detected cases of coronavirus in Moscow has decreased 2.2 times, and the number of hospitalizations - 1.6 times, the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin said in his blog.
