Moscow became the First Russian Regions to Export to EAEU Countries

OREANDA-NEWS. In the first half of 2019, Moscow took first place among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of exports to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the press service of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city said on Wednesday.
"The total export of Moscow to the EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) in the first half of 2019 amounted to $ 6.2 billion, including non-primary non-energy exports of $ 2.6 billion", the report said. The main exported goods were metalworking and jewelry, vehicles and their components, products of the chemical industry and mechanical engineering, as well as electrical engineering.
The second and third places in terms of total exports to the EAEU countries were occupied by St. Petersburg ($ 1.3 billion) and the Moscow Region ($ 1.3 billion). The press service said that the share of Moscow in Russia in non-primary non-energy exports to the EAEU countries is 22.8% in January-June 2019.
“As part of these tasks, Moscow is constantly working to expand the range of opportunities for Moscow entrepreneurs. In January-June 2019, Moscow's share in non-primary non-energy exports of the Russian Federation amounted to 16.3%, the capital exported products worth $ 11 billion.
Now in Moscow, about 11 thousand exporting companies are registered. According to the head of the department, in order to minimize the costs of entrepreneurs, a system of subsidiary support has been formed, thanks to which exporting companies can reimburse up to 100% of actual costs when selling their goods and services abroad. The Moscow Export Center was created by the metropolitan government as a single window for working with entrepreneurs in the field of financial and non-financial measures to support and promote the products of capital manufacturers to foreign and Russian markets.
