OREANDA-NEWS More than four thousand people have confirmed their participation in the Eastern Economic Forum, the Roscongress Foundation reported, citing Anton Kobyakov, adviser to the president, executive secretary of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the WEF.

"To date, over 4,200 people from more than 40 countries and territories have confirmed their participation in the WEF-2024. The Eastern Economic Forum today is one of the important business platforms for strategic and practical cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region," Kobyakov is quoted by Roscongress as saying.

He stressed that the mechanisms developed by the WEF participants determine the vector of development of the macroregion and consolidate Russia's status as one of the main decision-making centers in the interests of the sovereign states of the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the presidential adviser, the forum also has a great impact on the development of the Russian Far East — thanks to the event, investors get acquainted with the potential of the Far Eastern Federal District regions, which, in turn, become important territories for international economic cooperation. He noted that this directly affects the improvement of the quality of life of the Far East.

WEF-2024 will be held on September 3-6 at the Far Eastern Federal University campus in Vladivostok.
