This was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, at a meeting led by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The situation that developed as a result of the spring flood in the Orenburg and Omsk regions, as well as in Yakutia, was recognized as a federal emergency. In addition, according to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Tyumen and Kurgan regions were significantly affected.
