OREANDA-NEWS Serial production of modular mobile shelters "KUB-M" has begun in Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced by the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOChS) The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The innovative coating is able to protect a group of 54 people from the light radiation of a nuclear explosion, as well as from radiation contamination of the area. At the same time, the "CUBE-M" in the basic configuration can be transported by road or rail.

Since March 2024, shelters have been erected in a number of Russian cities due to shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). A typical shelter is a small concrete structure that can accommodate about 10 people. It is easy to see by the white color and the red inscription "Shelter". Its walls and roof are able to withstand a direct hit from a projectile.
