OREANDA-NEWS The government of the Russian Federation will finance the production and purchase of aircraft, including with the involvement of funds from the National Welfare Fund (NWF), to meet the needs of Russian companies, said Mikhail Mishustin, head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has set the task to significantly increase the number of domestic-made airliners and by 2030 there should be at least half of them in the fleet of Russian airlines. We are talking about a wide range of aircraft - from small regional to wide-body - with materials, avionics, engines, components of our own domestic developments. A lot of work remains to be done in terms of increasing the serial production of helicopters in order to fully meet the forecast indicators and the needs of Russian companies for them, the prime minister added.

"We have all the necessary resources for this. To do this, we will finance the production and purchase of aircraft, including with the involvement of funds from the National Welfare Fund. Actively apply tools to stimulate demand for new equipment, including assistance in creating an after-sales service system," Mishustin said.
