OREANDA-NEWS   The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have identified the main areas of work until 2045. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke about the plans of the association for the next 20 years in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The Prime Minister named providing the EAEU market with key goods and resources, including in the fields of energy and food security, as one of the main tasks. The member countries of the association also intend to develop transport links among themselves.

"We are talking not only about the introduction of new infrastructure facilities, but also about the modernization of existing ones and improving the efficiency of logistics chains, primarily through the introduction of modern technologies," Mishustin stressed.

In addition, the EAEU plans to develop technological cooperation. One of the ways to implement the initiative may be the creation of a grant system for research and design and testing work, the Prime Minister noted.

Mishustin also said that Iran will be granted the status of an observer state at the EAEU. Free trade negotiations are also underway with a number of countries.
