OREANDA-NEWS  It is important for the Russian authorities to do everything necessary to increase the availability of high-quality medicine, including using modern and breakthrough methods, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in a video message to participants of an expanded meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Health on Friday.

"It is important to do everything necessary to increase the availability of high–quality treatment, among other things - high-tech, using modern, breakthrough methods. Therefore, we are consistently expanding the program of state guarantees. For the current year, its financing has been increased by more than 400 billion rubles, so that citizens continue to receive assistance for free, under the CHI policy – even with serious illnesses," Mishustin said.

He recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that saving the people of Russia is among the national priorities. Mishustin thanked all the doctors, nurses, and paramedics for their huge contribution to preserving people's lives and health, and wished them good health, energy, and well-being.
