OREANDA-NEWS In the first half of 2024, federal budget revenues increased by almost 40 percent compared to the same period in 2023, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Russian government.

The sharply increased figure turned out to be above the mark of 17 trillion rubles, and non-oil and gas revenues increased by more than a quarter, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers pointed out.

Earlier it was noted that the volume of non-oil and gas revenues of the federal budget in 2024 could reach 12.5 percent of Russia's GDP, which turned out to be higher than planned by the budget law.

By the end of 2023, the revenues of the country's main financial document increased by almost five percent compared to 2022 and exceeded 29 trillion rubles. According to Mishustin, during this time period, the Russian Federation was able to reduce dependence on energy sales.
