OREANDA-NEWS  Belarus, within the framework of membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), is committed to deep and practical cooperation with the organization, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Yuri Ambrazevich told RIA Novosti.

"We are actively studying now, all our line ministries are studying the agenda - for the coming months and beyond for the future - of participation in various formats and events. We are waiting for a very deep and practical interaction," he told the agency on the sidelines, assessing the prospects of Minsk's membership in the SCO. According to Ambrazevich, this organization is not only a political structure that has spread its influence and membership entirely to the European continent, but also includes a whole network of very practical interaction formats.

"Therefore, this will be a big and serious work, which is designed, of course, to formulate added value for cooperation with these states, with which, of course, we have a bilateral agenda," he said.

Earlier in July, Belarus' full membership in the SCO was officially formalized. Minsk, which previously had observer status in the organization, became the tenth member of the SCO. On Saturday, the national flag of Belarus was raised at the SCO secretariat building in Beijing.
