Ministry of Internal Affairs Urged Russians Not to Go to Uncoordinated Actions
OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation asks Russians to abstain from taking part in any uncoordinated actions and promises to oppress any aggression and kinds of provocation, according to the agency's website.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia urges citizens to abstrain from taking part in any uncoordinated actions, as well as from visiting the cities' squares and streets, declared as venues, at the time indicated by the organizers," the release says.
According to the police, "provocations made by destructive persons" are quite possible - they will be "immediately suppressed", "all necessary measures" will be taken to maintain law and order.
“The offenders will be detained and brought to justice as stipulated by the law,” the RF Ministry of Internal Affairs notes.
The ministry specifically urges Russians to warn their underage relatives against participation in the actions.
The department also recalls the risk of coronavirus infection: "The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to refrain from participating in uncoordinated actions ... In conditions of mass crowds, the risk of contracting coronavirus increases," the release says.
In total, 4,710,690 people were infected with the coronavirus in Russia during the pandemic, 105,928 of them died, 4,333,598 were cured.
