Mikhail Mishustin Introduced New Ministers to the Government
OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin introduced new ministers to the Cabinet. He noted their experience in solving complex problems and called for every effort to fulfill the goals set for the government.
At the beginning of the week, Mishustin made proposals to the State Duma to appoint the head of the Ministry of Energy Alexander Novak, proposed him as a deputy prime minister, and Nikolai Shulginov, the head of RusHydro, to his former position instead of Alexander. He also proposed to appoint the head of the Ministry of Transport, the head of Aeroflot, Vitaly Savelyev, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources - Minister for the Arctic Alexander Kozlov, the head of the Ministry of Construction - First Deputy Minister Irek Fayzullin, the head of the Ministry for the Development of the East - the head of the Far East Development Fund Alexei Chekunkov.
As you know, after the adoption of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the State Duma agrees on the choice of the ministers who are suggested by the prime minister now, with the exception of the heads of the power departments - they are appointed by the president after consultations with the Federation Council. At a plenary meeting of the State Duma on Tuesday, all the candidates proposed by the prime minister were approved, and on the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding appointments.
On November 12, the government meeting was held in a new composition, and during the meeting, the Prime Minister introduced new colleagues to the cabinet members, congratulating them on their new appointments, and asking them to make every effort to solve the serious tasks set.
Mishustin thanked the deputies who expressed support for his proposals. He expressed hope for fruitful joint cooperation, adding that he expects from the candidates professionalism and readiness to bear responsibility for the future of the state. He noted that the situation is constantly changing, and people expect the authorities to be ready to solve more and more new tasks. He added that the government has no right to let people down who trust it.
