OREANDA-NEWS It is possible that in the context of tougher attitudes towards migrant workers from Central Asia, workers from India and North Korea will begin to be imported to Russia. This was stated by the director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Research Alexey Zubets under the Government of the Russian Federation. He is quoted by Moscow Speaks.

According to him, representatives of recruitment agencies do not see a big problem in bringing several thousand skilled workers from India to Russia, who can be used in technologically complex industries. This is not always the case with migrants from Central Asia.

At the same time, he stressed that the migration issue has created social tension in Russia. The local population is annoyed that indigenous citizens are being forced out of their jobs, and migrants themselves often do not seek integration into Russian society.

Earlier it turned out that the wages of migrants at work by the summer of 2024 had increased to almost 150 thousand rubles. This situation is explained by the fact that Russian enterprises are faced with an acute shortage of welders, concreters, monoliths and rebarers. At the same time, visitors are increasingly being legally employed. There are fewer and fewer gray schemes.
