OREANDA-NEWS. Mexico is interested in purchasing a Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection. This was announced on Twitter by the foreign minister, Marcelo Ebrard.

“I thank the Ambassador of Russia to Mexico Viktor Koronelli for his visit to the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. We talked about the vaccine Sputnik V. I expressed our interest in conducting the third phase (Of clinical trials. – Ed.) in order to get this vaccine in Mexico as soon as possible,” the diplomat said.

Earlier, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador reported that he had discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin the issue of purchasing a Russian vaccine against COVID-19.

In addition to Mexico, the authorities of Serbia and Israel have also shown interest in the Russian coronavirus vaccine.
