Members of Criminal Group that Had Legalized More than 10 Thousand Migrants Were Detained in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. In Moscow, members of an organized criminal group were detained, they legalized more than 10 thousand migrants. This was reported by the press service of the department for the capital region of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) on November 3.
“Eight people were identified and detained, the activities of two so-called laboratories, in which fake documents were produced, were suppressed,” TASS news agency quoted the press service of the agency. It is noted that the criminal group was an organized structure with dividing of roles, and its members had managed to legalize more than 10 thousand illegal migrants since 2015.
In March 2020, FSB officers arrested members of another organized criminal group who forged documents for migrants. According to the agency, in 2019 the income of the group exceeded 10 million roubles (about 125 thousand US dollars). The gang consisted of Russians and natives of Central Asia.
