OREANDA-NEWS Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called the pace of increasing the production of military equipment in the country fantastic over the past year. The politician in his video posted on VKontakte compared this with the experience of the Great Patriotic War period.

"I myself did not expect that it would be possible to deploy production so quickly," he said during a visit to the landfill in the Volgograd region.

Medvedev also confirmed that he remembers what the level was a year ago. He recalled the experience of the Great Patriotic War.

"And everything was deployed there, but it took quite a long time: it happened for more than a year," the politician stressed.

Medvedev clarified that Russia has now reached the level that "some time ago seemed fantastic to us" in most parameters of the production of military and special equipment.

Also, according to him, there is still something to do, but the figures for the most significant things are very impressive.
