OREANDA-NEWS  Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said that removing artists who criticize the government and the special military operation (SVO) from posters and canceling concerts is normal in a military conflict. His words are quoted by RBC.

According to the former Minister of Culture, there is no cancellation culture in Russia like in the West, and it would be simply unwise to spend taxpayers' money on speeches by those who criticize their own.

"It would be strange if the state finances the army with one hand and those who officially and publicly spit on people at the front with the other. They do not receive grants or places on government sites. This is the only reasonable position," Medinsky said.

He also spoke about Alla Pugacheva, who was not recognized as a foreign agent, despite appearing at the same events with artists who had fled Russia and having a negative attitude towards HER.

"Unfortunately, she is no longer performing on stage. But her name is sometimes used for completely different purposes," Medinsky said.

Earlier it became known that Philip Kirkorov spoke with Alla Pugacheva's daughter, who left Russia. The singer appeared on the same stage with Kristina Orbakaite at a private event in New York.
