"Medical Pages" May Appear in Russian Passports
OREANDA-NEWS. According to RIA Novosti, the first deputy head of the public chamber of the Leningrad Region, Vladimir Petrov, sent a request to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, with a request to consider the issue of entering data on vaccinations into the internal and foreign passports of Russians.
The deputy's appeal says the following: "In this regard, I suggest you evaluate the idea of introducing special" medical "pages into the internal passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and in the foreign passport to mark the availability of a vaccine. This method of documentation will be the least expensive for the state budget and, at the same time, the most effective, since it is the passport that is a mandatory document for any movement of a citizen over long distances. "
The appeal notes that the issue of documenting the fact of vaccination against coronavirus is being discussed all over the world. At the same time, it is widely believed that a "vaccinated passport" may contradict ethical laws.
At the same time, according to Vladimir Petrov, the issue of the safe movement of citizens within their country and regarding travel to other states is still open. In addition, the risk of repeated pandemics remains.
According to Vladimir Petrov, in addition to the mark on the availability of a vaccine against coronavirus, these pages of the passport may contain data on other vaccines and vaccinations necessary for travelers to exotic countries, for example, against malaria or Lyme disease.
