OREANDA-NEWS. Mass events throughout the country have been canceled due to the pandemic, said the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.

Due to the situation with the coronavirus, mass events throughout Russia are prohibited, Rospotrebnadzor said in a statement. We would like to remind that earlier there was an increase in the number of patients, similar to that in January.

"For mass events, they have been stopped throughout the country. They are carried out only in accordance with the decree of the chief state sanitary doctor, depending on the trend of the epidemic process," she said at a meeting of the presidium of the government's coordinating council on combating coronavirus.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, noted that compliance with the mask regime in a number of regions raises questions. She considers the situation with the virus extremely tense - growth for the week amounted to 14%. Popova added that events of more than 3 thousand people are not allowed anywhere, and from 1 to 3 thousand people were allowed in two constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

In 12 Russian regions, the increase in the number of infected people is very fast, only in five regions there is a decline in dynamics. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin added that over the past week, the increase in the incidence in the capital was 30%, hospitalizations - 20%.
