OREANDA-NEWS Russia currently has the optimal number of automobile plants, this opinion was expressed to journalists by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

"At its peak, the Russian car market was 3 million units. And we have created production facilities for 3 million. Therefore, I believe that the number of car factories that we currently have is optimal," he said.
Earlier, Manturov said that the growth of the market and production of the automotive industry in Russia by the end of 2024 will be from 30 to 40%, while car sales are expected to be about 1.8 million cars, and production - about 980 thousand units.

At the end of 2024, the association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD) told RIA Novosti that dealers and manufacturers' warehouses are traditionally replenished with cars by the end of the year, and in the future, their existing stock is the norm in the next two months.
