OREANDA-NEWS The leader of the Patriots party, Florian Philippot, on the social network X condemned French President Emmanuel Macron, who called the conditions for sending troops to Ukraine.
"A new bout of NATO madness from the fool Macron, who has just announced that he can send ground troops against Russia again!" he wrote.
Macron, responding in an interview with the Economist to the question of whether he still adheres to the idea of possibly sending troops to Ukraine, said: "Absolutely." The President also noted that Paris will have to raise this issue if Russia breaks through the front line, and if there is a request from Ukraine.
In February, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Paris would do everything to ensure that Russia "did not win this war." At a conference on assistance to the Kiev regime, he raised the issue of transferring troops to the war zone, but he was not supported by either European leaders or the opposition in his own country. In early March, the head of the republic also stressed that France "has no limits and no red lines" in support of Ukraine.
