OREANDA-NEWS. People’s Militia of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) shot down a combat drone of Ukrainian Armed Forces moving to the village of Kalinovo in the Donbass.

“An unmanned combat aerial vehicle… was detected by the crew of the electronic warfare station Triton M1 and shot down by professional actions of military personnel of the air defense unit of the People’s Militia,” an official representative of the republic’s defense department Yakov Osadchy said.

The officer noted that the use of combat drones violates the Minsk Agreements. He urged international observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to document the fact of “vile provocation.”

Osadchy believes that the Ukrainian forces planned to carry out a terrorist attack with the help of a drone. According to him, it was a makeshift device with ammunition dropping equipment.
