OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Foreign Minister will hold talks with North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee on Tuesday, January 16, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RIA Novosti.

"Sergey Lavrov's talks with the DPRK Foreign Minister in Moscow will take place on January 16," she said.

On January 15, Chinese Foreign Minister Choi Song Hee arrived in Moscow on a three-day working visit. It was reported that she was invited to Russia by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The Russian Foreign Ministry does not name the topics of negotiations between the delegations of the Russian Federation and the DPRK.

On January 4, John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council at the White House, said that the American authorities suspect the Russian Federation of using North Korean missiles to attack the territory of Ukraine. According to him, Russian troops used the appropriate shells on December 30, 2023 and January 2, 2024.

Earlier it was reported that the United States plans to take steps to counter the defense partnership between the Russian Federation and the DPRK.
