OREANDA-NEWS Russia knows how to avoid a compromise on Ukraine that is dangerous for people. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to American bloggers Andrew Napolitano, Larry Johnson and Mario Naufalu.
He said that Russia prioritizes the protection of people whom the Kiev regime has "deprived of history." He recalled that in September 2021, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was asked what he thought of the people on the other side of the contact line, and he replied that there were people and "individuals." Lavrov also recalled Zelensky's statement in which he said that if any Ukrainians feel part of Russian culture, then they should leave for Russia.
"Our conscience is transparent and pure. Not because we rarely use it. It's because we've been burned many times," the minister replied to the words that Russia's actions do not coincide with the statements of its representatives.
Earlier, Lavrov named a condition for Ukraine to preserve its 1991 borders. According to him, the country could have preserved the borders of 1991 without Crimea and parts of Donbass if the republic's authorities had made compromises and implemented their own initiatives.
