OREANDA-NEWS  Statements about Moscow's interference in the parliamentary elections in Georgia are lies. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

"Like an outright lie. Americans tend to attribute to us what they themselves do. As they say, the thief's hat is on fire," he said, commenting on the relevant estimates of American analysts.

According to the minister, Washington is actively exploiting the "myth of Russian interference in any election" created by it, both at home and in third countries. He stressed that if forces objectionable to the US authorities win somewhere according to the results of the vote, Moscow is immediately appointed the culprit.
