OREANDA-NEWS The BRICS Summit in Johannesburg will mark another achievement of South African diplomacy. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"We had very intensive talks here yesterday. Their results will be summed up very soon by Ramaphosa (President of South Africa - ed.). And I am glad to have the opportunity to meet with the leaders of South African parties," Lavrov said during a meeting with representatives of South African political parties.

According to Lavrov, the current summit will be "another success of South African diplomacy."

In addition, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed the need for a comprehensive deepening of bilateral cooperation, which should not be limited only to government and parliamentary levels.
