OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has arrived in Belarus for a two-day official visit, according to a TASS correspondent. The plane carrying the head of Russian diplomacy landed at the Minsk airport.

The visit is timed to coincide with the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Belarus, as noted by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

According to diplomats, the program for the visit includes meetings with President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, Chairpersons of the Council of the Republic and House of Representatives, Natalia Kochanova and Igor Sergeenko, respectively. Additionally, Lavrov will hold talks with his counterpart, Sergei Aleynik.

As part of the visit, Lavrov is expected to pay respects at the Victory Monument in Minsk and address students and faculty members of the Academy of Management under the President of Belarus.
