Kremlin Promises to Inform in a Timely Manner Whether Putin Will Go to Conference on Libya

The press service of the President of the Russian Federation has not yet answered the question of whether the head of the Russian state Vladimir Putin will take part in the International Conference on Libya in Berlin. “We will inform you in a timely manner”, the Russian media assured the Kremlin’s press service, answering a question about the participation of the Russian leader in the Berlin conference.
As previously reported by Reuters, Germany plans to hold an international conference to resolve the conflict in Libya on January 19. According to him, in particular, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will arrive in Berlin to participate in the conference.
On January 11, at a press conference following talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Germany's timely initiative to hold an international conference on Libya in Berlin. According to him, for this conference to "bring tangible results", it's necessary to ensure participation in it "really interested in helping the Libyan settlement of the states", and its decisions "must be agreed in the preliminary plan with the Libyan parties".
Earlier, the German authorities initiated international consultations on Libya with the participation of senior officials of several countries, including Russia, which was called the "Berlin Process". His stated goal was to support the efforts of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Libya, Hasan Salama.
