Kremlin Explains Why Putin won't Be Vaccinated Publicly
OREANDA-NEWS. Vladimir Putin is not a supporter of vaccination on camera, so he will not give the coronavirus vaccine in public. The plans of the head of state regarding vaccination were announced by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
He noted that Putin is already doing a lot to promote Russian vaccines in the world, so the media will not disseminate photos and videos of him being vaccinated.
"The President devotes a significant part of his working time to events, conversations, meetings related to vaccination, vaccine production," the Kremlin spokesman recalled.
On the eve it became known that on Tuesday Putin intends to be vaccinated against COVID-19. What drug in question is not specified, it may be one of three Russian vaccines. After the injection, the head of state is going to continue work, Peskov specified on Monday.
It is recalled that three domestic vaccines are currently in different stages of testing in Russia: the world's first drug for the prevention of coronavirus infection Sputnik V, the country's second registered vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19, created at the Novosibirsk Center "Vector" EpiVacCorona and KoviVak, the third vaccine, which was created at the Chumakov Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
