OREANDA-NEWS Units of the Wagner PMCs are engaged in the transfer to the Kursk region to counter the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the border of the region. This became known to military commander Egor Guzenko, known under the pseudonym of the Thirteenth. He published his statement on the situation on the Telegram channel.

In the footage shown by the military commander, the Wagnerians explained that they were returning to Russia. They noted that they were heading to Kursk to break up the positions of the Ukrainian side.

"The fighters of the Wagner PMCs are returning to Russia. Good luck to the men," Guzenko wrote.

Prior to that, it was reported that an attempt by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to advance deep into the Kursk region was stopped by motorized infantry of the Russian Military Space Forces. On the evening of August 7, Russian servicemen were urgently transferred to the area of the settlement of Korenevo and stopped the enemy's advance.

On August 6, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began a massive shelling of the Kursk region, under the cover of which they tried to break through the border using heavy equipment. The fact of the attack was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense.
