OREANDA-NEWS  The Israeli Air Force attacked military installations in the vicinity of the Syrian city of Tartus on the Mediterranean coast, where the base of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) is also located. This is reported by Military Watch Magazine (MWM).

The results of the attack and the damage caused were not reported.

Tartus is the only repair and resupply point of the Russian navy in the Mediterranean.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the Israeli Air Force had attacked infrastructure along the border between Syria and Lebanon, which was allegedly intended to transfer weapons to the Shiite Hezbollah movement. The IDF added that the Israeli military will continue to strike in order to "counter the attempts of the Shiite movement to transport weapons to Lebanon from Syria."
