ISIL Member Was Killed in the Russian City of Ufa
OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) destroyed a militant carrying explosives in a car in the city of Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan). It was reported that he was a member of the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) banned in Russia.
The incident occurred on March 21. FSB officers stopped a car driven by a native of Central Asia. He opened fire and was shot dead. None of the officers were injured.
In the car, a homemade ready to use explosive device was found, as well as a pistol and ammunition. Due to the threat of explosion during demining, specialists destroyed a bomb on the spot. According to the FSB, the militant was planning an attack in Ufa. Investigators are identifying other people involved in the preparing a terrorist act.
