Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to Pyongyang, announced a nine—fold increase in trade turnover between the countries last year, and by another 54 percent in the first five months of this year. According to him, we are talking about a variety of directions.

The Russian President arrived in North Korea on the evening of June 18. The head of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, personally met the guest at the airport, where the leaders of the two states had a lively conversation. At the meeting held on Wednesday, June 19, they signed the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the Russian Federation and the DPRK.
