In Russia, the unemployment rate among young people was estimated

OREANDA-NEWS Since 2020, the youth unemployment rate has decreased. This is how the level of employment in the country was estimated by the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov, as quoted by TASS.
According to the results of the third quarter of 2023, the unemployment rate was seven percent. Kotyakov told about this at the opening of the Festival of Professions in the pavilion of the Ministry of Labor at the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia".
The festival of professions takes place at the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" at VDNH. Visitors are told about job opportunities in popular professions in IT, the hospitality industry, agriculture, science, social services, manufacturing, transport, healthcare, and construction.
By the end of 2023, unemployment in Russia had fallen to 2.9 percent. At the same time, the shortage of personnel has become a key problem for many Russian enterprises. The head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, called the shortage of workers a key issue for the Russian economy, which cannot be solved with budget injections and cheap loans.
According to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, under the conditions of sanctions pressure, Russia managed to avoid an increase in unemployment and even reach its historical minimum. The head of government called this situation an achievement of the authorities, first of all, we are talking about a large number of programs, including retraining, for which the Cabinet is responsible.
