OREANDA-NEWS In 2023, about 60 percent of Russian enterprises and companies faced a shortage of personnel. Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, President of the Russian Union of Rectors Viktor Sadovnichy said about the shortage of workers. His words are quoted by TASS.
As he clarified, representatives of the field of high-tech production often spoke about the problem of personnel shortages. Against this background, highly qualified specialists have gained special demand in the labor market.
Taking into account the increasing demands of companies on the skills of employees, Sadovnichy stated the need to continue to develop engineering schools for training such personnel for various industries, including digital and biotechnology, microelectronics, photonics and instrumentation. The training of qualified personnel for the above-mentioned high-tech and knowledge-intensive sectors of the economies will help to increase the share of innovative developments, he concluded.
Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper reported that due to the general shortage of personnel in the labor market, the heads of Russian companies began to resort more often to the strategy of "quiet hiring". With this scheme, problematic positions are closed with the help of their own talented employees. Recently, such a strategy has become in demand in almost every second Russian company.
