OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian government has changed the rule of migration registration of foreigners. The law has already entered into force on Thursday, October 26, the relevant document is available to TASS.

Now foreigners who have arrived in Russia can register for migration online through the portal "Public Services". The norms approved by the Cabinet of Ministers expand the list of cases when foreigners and stateless persons can notify the migration registration authorities about the place of residence of themselves and their children under 18.

 This can happen provided that a foreigner in Russia is accepted by its citizen, who has property and a personal account in the "State Services". Now it is possible to confirm the consent of the receiving party in electronic form.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia proposed to change the system of registration of foreign citizens by introducing a single period and increasing it from 7 to 30 days. At the same time, the requirement to register within one working day will remain, provided that the foreigner is, for example, in a hotel, or carries out work in a shift mode.
