In Russia, the number of migrants awaiting deportation has increased in seven months

OREANDA-NEWS The number of migrants held in special institutions awaiting deportation and readmission has increased by 28.2% in Russia in seven months, according to the telegram channel of the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.
"In January – July ... the number of unscheduled inspections against legal entities and individual entrepreneurs increased 3.1 times, as a result of which 2.3 times more offenses were revealed. The number of foreign citizens detained in special institutions who are subject to administrative expulsion, deportation or readmission increased by 28.2%," the report says.
It is also noted that the number of protocols on administrative offenses against foreigners and stateless persons has increased by 44.6%. 53.2% more decisions were made on the administrative expulsion and deportation of foreign citizens than in the seven months of 2023. 55.2% more foreigners who violate the law were removed from Russia.
In addition, the police made 143.1 thousand decisions against migrant violators to ban entry to Russia; the number of temporary residence permits issued to migrants decreased by 44.2%, and residence permits by 18.4%. At the same time, the number of detected crimes in the field of illegal migration has increased 2.8 times.
In relation to 1,053 people brought to criminal responsibility, a decision was made to terminate Russian citizenship, the message clarifies.
