OREANDA-NEWS Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko said that mortality from cancer and diseases of the circulatory system has reached minimum values in the country. The Minister made a corresponding statement at the National Health Congress.

"The minimum value of mortality from diseases of the circulatory system has been achieved," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to the head of the medical department, this positive dynamics is supported, among other things, by the implementation of the federal project to combat cardiovascular diseases.

According to Murashko, the minimum has been reached in terms of mortality from malignant neoplasms.

Earlier, Murashko reported that the infant mortality rate in Russia decreased by 7% compared to the previous year.
