OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Armed Forces may win the battles for the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region as early as January. Such lines in a conversation with Life.ru military expert Vasily Dandykin predicted, noting that tough battles are expected.

According to him, taking Sudzha under Russian control will block the supply routes to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). "This city is a key one in this direction. Through it, all communications go in the direction of the Kursk region, and to Kurchatov, and to Kursk, including the Sumy region," Dandykin emphasized.

The expert added that the enemy is already surrendering, and not individually, but in organized groups.

Earlier, Russian military blogger Egor Guzenko announced the encirclement of up to 1,000 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the Court in Malaya Lokna. Fighting is also underway in the Zamostye microdistrict and near the Sudzhansky oil factory.
