OREANDA-NEWS. Over the past day, 19,768 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Russia - this is a new record over the last days, the operational headquarters for combating the disease told reporters. The number of deaths and the number of those discharged from hospitals also updated the maximums, according to the agency RIA Novosti.

The previous record for the daily increase in incidence was recorded three days ago, on November 1, when 18,665 cases were recorded.

New cases of COVID-19 morbidity were detected in all 85 regions of the country. Most of the cases were in Moscow - 5826 new cases were registered yesterday, while the day before there were 5150. A significant increase in the number of infected is noted in St. region marked 389 new cases of coronavirus. Least of all cases - only seven - were recorded in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Chukotka (there are only three new cases). Moreover, in a quarter of those infected, the disease proceeds without symptoms.

Taking into account the fact that 18,648 new cases were reported the day before, we can say that the growth rate per day was 1.2 percent. In total, 1,693,454 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Russia since the beginning of the epidemic.
