OREANDA-NEWS  The Rosselkhoznadzor may automatically block the sale of products from low-quality raw materials at the end of this year. This is reported by Izvestia.

It is explained that if the agency records that the products are of poor quality or unsafe, then such goods will not be able to be punched at the checkout. At the moment, Rospotrebnadzor blocks the sale of only finished goods.

As explained to the publication in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, such a mechanism will minimize the risks of purchasing such products. To implement the procedure, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies will combine two systems — the Rosselkhoznadzor's Mercury, where all information about veterinary documents for raw materials for products, and the Honest Mark of the CRPT, which collects data on labeled finished products and their retail circulation.

Earlier it was reported that from September 1, 2024, Russian retailers and manufacturers will be able to send existing low-quality products for processing into animal feed.
