OREANDA-NEWS. During a meeting of the Coordination Council under the government to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that asymptomatic coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation began to be detected twice as often.
She noted that the need to comply with all measures and restrictive measures remains relevant, the TV channel "Russia 24" reports.
According to her, in a number of Russian regions, the situation with coronavirus infection remains extremely tense. In the country as a whole, the incidence doubled over the week.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that the majority of the sick are young people aged 20 to 39 years.
Currently, more than 570 thousand people are under the supervision of doctors with confirmed coronavirus in Russia, said Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko.
"If in the first wave and the second wave we stated mainly the disease in people over 40 and over 60, these were the dominant groups, today the number of cases at the age of 26-40 has increased markedly," said the head of the Russian Ministry of Health.
As reported, over the past day, 20,393 cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia - this is the maximum since January.
